Context
Vattenfall operates in seven countries with approximately 25,000 workplaces. Since 2018, Vattenfall has outsourced its network and workplace services to a service provider. As the contract was expiring, a new sourcing strategy was needed to determine the future approach for these outsourced services. QA Consulting was engaged to formulate the sourcing strategy, including the restructuring of various services. QA Consulting then guided the subsequent European procurement processes.
Approach
QA developed a segmentation model and iteratively worked towards a clear sourcing strategy for workplace and network environments. The strategy was aligned at the executive level. QA then supported the procurement processes together with project teams, managing the tenders as a single integrated project with coordinated selection procedures.
Result
The procurement processes were successful, and the transition was completed smoothly.
