Context

Telecom services management at ProRail was previously handled by two region-based suppliers, but the existing contract was coming to an end. For the new procurement, ProRail no longer wanted to purchase a complete service package, but instead aimed to manage the deployment of people and resources directly. This change, along with the potential switch of suppliers, meant a careful transition was crucial to safeguard continuity and properly implement new agreements. QA Consulting was asked to oversee this transition.

Approach

QA Consulting supported the transition by establishing a clear governance, creating a detailed project plan, maintaining an activity log, and guiding the handover between outgoing and incoming suppliers. This included setting up field support processes, transferring knowledge and documentation, and ensuring proper reporting, testing, and acceptance criteria. Through intensive stakeholder coordination, QA Consulting built support and ensured a controlled transition.

Result

The transition to new ITA suppliers and working arrangements was carefully managed, with QA Consulting establishing the new management organization and ensuring a seamless handover without any disruption to services.
